Comments:

I decided to do this chronicle after a few hours of shooting. I started off the day at the Marble Hill Metro North station & did a few stations along the 1 to cap it off.

The ride on the 1 was going at a nice pace until we hit a minor delay at 116th St/Columbia University. The ride started going well again until a slowdown between 72nd St & 66th St. Everything was fine again until we got to Franklin St.

The delays at Franklin & Chambers were quite annoying but understandable as the T.O. was having some mechanical problems with the train. I was sitting in the first seat to the left in the first car. I could hear everything he was saying. He radioed for some assistance at Chambers St.

The problem he kept repeating was front end, front end. I did notice just prior that when he was starting to move the train out of the station, it jerked real hard as if a brake was hit. I believe he radioed for assistance after this incident. I do know that someone got on at Chambers St & assisted in some manor if not drove the train himself. In the end, the ride mercifully came to an end. I walked around Battery Park & eventually went home.
