Comments:

The D G.O. had it running express from Tremont Ave. to 145th St. during the afternoon rush hour. I purposely scheduled my day so I could chronicle this G.O. I started off by hopping the 1 from 42nd St/Times Sq to 59th St/Columbus Circle. I then hopped an uptown D to 205th St.

The quality of the ride was below average. The only enjoyable part was the quick express dash from Tremont Ave. to 145th St. I felt we made great time as it took just a tad over 8 minutes. However before we arrived at Tremont Ave., the train was held for 2 minutes. The 2 minute delay was for a T.O. relief @ Bedford Park Blvd. The next delay was at Tremont Ave., where the doors recycled twice.
The delays got even more annoying as we arrived at 145th St. After creating some nice momentum with the fast run down the Grand Concourse, we got held at 145th St. We were held for 7 minutes & the passengers became restless. One "thugged" out teenager kept cursing out loud to move the train. He kept saying if it didn't move, he would punch the T.O. I applaud him for his maturity during the delay.

The express run down Central Park West was nothing special. The ride was much faster down the Grand Concourse. The doors recycled 4 times at 59th St./Columbus Circle. The run from 34th St./Herald Sq to W. 4th St./Washington Sq. was enjoyable as always.

The door recycling delays continued while in Manhattan. The doors recycled 4 times at both W 4th St/Washington Sq & Broadway Lafayette. The rest of the ride in Manhattan went ok. The last episode of "As The Door Recycles" happened at 36th St. The last delay occurred towards the end of the trip. The train stopped between Bay 50th St. & Coney Island/Stillwell Ave. Thankfully this trip came to an end & I went about my business.
