Comments:

I do not really have a section for impromptu diversion chronicles. So for now I will put them in the G.O. Effected section. This definitely was one of the more exciting chronicles I ever did.

The origin of this chronicle was from a railfain outing I was on. I took the 6 to the V so I could go make a quick stop along Houston St. I figured this would be a quick trip on the V to the Lower East Side/2nd Ave.

I was listening to my music when I noticed a delay at Broadway Lafayette. I was sitting in the first car & next to the T/O's cab. A dispatcher came aboard & told the T/O that he was to keep the V in service & run it to Coney Island.

The decision was a no brainer for me in regards to riding this out vs making my stop. I knew I could always come back & take care of my original plans later on if not another day. So off I went on the V to Coney Island.

When I arrived at Coney Island, I debated on whether I should get out & take pictures or do a chronicle. I was hoping I could do both but knew the train was turning right back around to head back to Forest Hills. I passed on the pictures & just did this chronicle instead.
